Security First Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the selection of Valley native, Erasmo Ramos, Jr., as the credit union’s new President and Chief Executive Officer.
Ramos’ extensive leadership and management experience will help Security First to continue providing hometown services to its members. His passion for developing and executing strategic direction will launch the credit union into a new era of leadership and growth.
Ramos comes to Security First from Laredo Federal Credit Union in Laredo, Texas, where he served as President/CEO. At Laredo FCU, he successfully implemented policies, practices and communication controls for each department, ensuring operational stability and success.
Prior to Laredo Federal Credit Union, Ramos served as President/CEO at La Joya Federal Credit Union in La Joya, Texas. He worked with the Board of Directors in the strategic planning, directing and controlling of the credit union’s corporate and operational affairs.
Ramos holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (formerly University of Texas-Pan American) in Edinburg, Texas.
